How to Dress Your Baby for the Holidays

Tips for keeping your little one stylish all season long

It’s the most festive time of the year, and getting baby’s wardrobe holiday-ready is half the fun. Here are our top tips—with an eye toward both practicality and style—on keeping your little one adorably cozy all season long.

  1. Comfort is best

There are lots of fancy-pants holiday baby clothes out there—satin dresses with bows, velvet knickers and plaid vests, etc. You might consider investing in one fancy outfit for baby if your family will be going somewhere extra-special during the season. For instance, a wedding or other event that specifically demands formalwear. Otherwise, and perhaps especially this year, comfort is king! Babies would much prefer to be wearing an outfit made of buttery-soft, breathable cotton instead of something stiff and frilly. (And when they’re happy, you’re happy…)

  1. Holiday attire isn’t just for one day but the entire month

Charming winter motifs…messages of joy…illustrations of wintry reindeer and penguins…what’s not to love! In other words, we give you full permission to dress baby in holiday-themed clothing all December long. It’s practical (and adorable) to have multiple seasonal bodysuits, tees, and jammies—and keep them in rotation all month. We’ve got lots of holiday essentials to help you get started (and they’re great for any holiday baby gifting needs, too!)

  1. Seasonal PJs are great all-day loungewear

PJs aren’t just for bedtime. In fact, they are awesome for kicking around the house all day long. Think: cookie-baking and decorating; holiday movie nights; Christmas crafting, and more. Again, comfort—plus style—is king. Check out our collection of adorable toddler PJs! (These also make for great seasonal gifts.)

  1. Clothing with cute holiday graphics make for even cuter holiday photos

You can’t help but smile when you see a baby in a bodysuit printed with a cute saying or graphic. Whether it’s “My First Christmas,” “Wonder & Cheer,” or “Joy” and a little dog, we’ve got plenty of easy-to-wear styles that make any holiday card or photo that much more adorable.

  1. Find styles that last through the holidays and beyond

In many cases, “holiday” attire is really just “winter attire”—totally appropriate into January and beyond. For instance, our bodysuits… Come January (especially this upcoming one), messages of joy and hope and simple winter pleasures will be very welcome.

Also, think bright solid colors! Red or green can be worn any time of year, especially when you mix and match them with different tops or bottoms. Moms are loving our new red hoodies, footies, and pants—which are sold separately and also in our gift-ready sets.

We wish a cozy, festive, stylish holiday season to you and yours!
