How to Dress Your Baby for the Fall Season
Tips on comfort and style
Ahh…it’s that time of year when the air is starting to bring hints of cinnamon, pumpkin spice, and everything nice. Also: weather fluctuations! So today we’re sharing some tips on dressing your little one in comfort and style (including a peek at our new fall collection!) this season.
What type of clothing keeps baby most comfortable in autumn?
Two words: cotton; layers. 100% cotton clothing—preferably organic—is the most comfortable thing for baby in every season. It’s breathable and buttery against baby’s skin, and it lends itself well to layering.
For cool days, a general rule of thumb is that baby needs one more layer than an adult would need. Fall mornings and evenings can be surprisingly cool, but the afternoons can still feel toasty—so, it’s great to have easy, breezy layers that can easily be added or removed. The American Academy of Pediatrics offers more tips for dressing your baby, especially helpful if you are altogether new at trying to get little ones in and out of clothing.
