Baby clothes hacks : Get the most out of baby’s wardrobe with these five simple tips

If you feel like your kids are outgrowing an item of clothing every time you turn around, you’re not alone (naturally, this is part of the deal as kids grow)! But with some clever planning and smart shopping, you can simplify your little one’s wardrobe and ensure you’re getting the most out of it. Today we’re discussing a few easy clothing “hacks” to help you get started.

  1. Buy heirloom baby clothes that are quality items made to last

If you’re reading this blog, you’re probably already onboard with one of the best clothing “hacks” we know: buying quality items and taking good care of them. It makes sense for your own wardrobe as well as that of your child. When you buy baby clothes that are built to last, you are shopping responsibly and are able to pass down those well-loved items to future children in your own family, or someone else’s. Bonus points for buying items that go easy on the planet and are non-toxic. (You can read more about Finn + Emma’s sustainable style values here.)

  1. Keep things easy with neutral baby clothes

Neutral colors and gender-neutral designs keep things as easy as possible, day in and day out. If you’re already stressed or running behind schedule, the last thing you want is to have to exert extra brainpower on selecting a perfect outfit for your little one. If, however, the closet is full of items that all “match,” you’re golden! And, as above, gender-neutral designs make hand-me-downs a breeze.

  1. Three words: Pants with cuffs

Have you ever been surprised to see that baby’s pants are getting a little too short? Well, here’s a game changer for you: cuffed pant bottoms. This way, as baby grows, you just unroll the cuff and the pants “grow” with baby. One pair of pants suddenly turns into two sizes—genius! (And yes, all of our traditional pant styles feature a cuff.)

  1. PJs (and rompers) all day

Thankfully there’s no rule that pajamas and loungewear are only appropriate for bedtime. Especially now! Baby will be comfy and cute all day long in a romper, and older kids will love our pajama sets that are polished enough for play dates, hanging around the house, and casual outings. These items are super versatile, and the PJ tops and bottoms are great as standalone pieces, wearable with other outfits, as well!

  1. Take the hassle out of shopping with grab bags

If you’re one of those people who find shopping overwhelming, we get it. That’s why we created our grab bags that are not only an amazing buy but also an easy solution when your kiddos need some new outfits. (It’s also fun to be surprised by what items show up on your doorstep!) One of our most popular is the holiday grab bag that includes 10 of our most popular holiday-graphic bodysuits or tees (depending on the age of the child), to last all year long!

We hope these tips and tricks will make it easy to choose children’s clothes wisely, make them last, and make the best possible use of what you have. Do you have other “hacks”? We’d love to hear!
